I was totally surprised at how great this film. You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.

Good old fashioned 8o's B-movie serial killer fare.Tom (Asbestos Felt) is the jealous sort, and thinks that his wife Leeza (Courtney Lercara) might be cheating on him. But, it's not just a slasher film, it is a weird slasher film. It can't even be described; it must be seen to be believed. The acting is what you would expect of a B movie, and you don't even get a good shower scene. You really don't get any good blood and gore until the end.And then the zombies come...Not the best B-movie, but some will like it.

Tom Russo (Asbestos Felt) is a man who is sure his wife (or girlfriend i don't remember if thats stated) is cheating him with every man in the neighborhood. He is obsessed about that and soon he became insane, absolutely crazy and begins a killing spree, a very bloody killing spree. This Tim Ritter movie is a good psychological low budget thriller, with the always welcome bonus of a lot of gore and zombies (yes, zombies). Its absurd at times but its cool all the way. The Fx ranges from awful (the decapitated head) to so bad they are great (old lady head). This movie is definitely worth a look, much better than some latest no budget movies from the same director.

This movie is one of my all-time favourites. Why? Well, I could talk about the amazing score, the expressive lighting, the minimalist set design, or the great gore effects, but really, it all comes down to one man. That man is Asbestos Felt. His performance in this film is the most rage-fueled I have ever seen in a movie - it approximates a literal translation of the very word "anger". His screen presence is so magnetic, you can't stop watching it - and whenever he's not on screen, the movie drags. He's that good.Apart from Mr. Felt, there is still a lot to recommend for the Spree. The gore effects, though they do vary in quality, are great in places. The cinematography approaches expressionism at times - witness the scene in which Mr. Felt goes down to the beach and randomly beats people up, so extreme is his rage. Also, the plot twist about 20 minutes from the end will totally fry your brain. "Boo!" indeed. There's also the scene that explains the complete life history of "Stewmaster", who never appears again in the movie. It's a truly life-changing experience, watching this.I am passionate about this movie.

That's right... back in 87 I was in a rock band called Lights Out. Some friends of mine were making a movie and needed a band to help with the bar scenes. OK... so we move all the equipment, set up, play a few tunes...only later to find that the audio equipment failed and our music was not recorded. An amazing and lucky break! (At least we got a credit at the end of the film) But seriously, I observed the process of making this movie, and you have to admire the sheer "stick-to-iteveness" (is that a word?) of these guys to make a movie with absolutely no budget. I would say that the movie has a certain charm to it... but I am clearly biased. Some of the stuff they did, from a special effects standpoint, is pretty good... especially considering the money limitation. The other surprising thing to me is that at least 17 people have seen this movie. (As of this writing, there are 17 reviews posted). To me, this movie is almost like a performance piece. That is... the act of creation is where the artistic part lives.... the movie itself is a by-product of the art. An artifact really. (It's sort of like the ashes left behind after someone walks across burning coals). You have to encourage this kind of creative effort. (I Think...?)
