The Tomb (2007)
Two thousand years ago a High Priest, defying the orders of the King, prepares the sacrifice that will resurrect an evil goddess from the tenebrous beyond. The beheading of seven virgins will precede her resurrection, but the sacrifice is interrupted and the priest is mortally wounded. Though not dead, he is to remain sealed in his sarcophagus until the arrival one day of those destined to liberate him.Two thousand years later, a group of university students on an archeological expedition begin to mysteriously die one by one via a series of mysterious accidents. Will the blood of the young victims complete what has been interrupted, or can man overthrow the evil god before it’s too late?

Excellent, smart action film.
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
