Loveless (2017)

Truly the worst movie I've ever seen in a theater

Some things I liked some I did not.

Your blood may run cold, but you now find yourself pinioned to the story.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

I was talked into going to watch this movie by friends. Well what can I say. Two hours of my life I won't get back. Dull. Boring. Depressing. I read Imdb raving reviews before going to watch it and was bitterly disappointed. I didn't see any deep meaning or much intelligence in this movie. But saw a lot of unnecessary nudity which does not tie with the rest of the movie. To me it looked like the director was afraid that nobody will watch it without nude scenes. And possibly he was right. Another thing as Russian born woman I was insulted by the image of Russian women which was portrayed there. The main character was just a cold mega bitch, another female character was a pathetic needy damsel in distress, older lady was just plain bonkers. Main male character was bleak and boring. I didn't see any deep meaning just a very dull depressing movie with unsatisfying ending which leaves just one thought in your head: here is two hours of my life I will never get back.

Is there any English speaking versions of this movie .they all seem to be either Russian or French.

Russian candidate for this year's foreign "oscar" is a typical European hard to watch and almost empty European kind of dramas, directed by the presently best director of the largest country in the world, Andrey Zvyagintsev. Naively praised in the West as a portrayalist of a stark and bleak life in Russia at the beginning of the 21st century, Andrey managed to film yet another universal movie story that everybody can relate to, painting the emptiness and absence of any kind of emotion for our youngest. Fanatically persistent in his empty shots, Zvyagintsev used two brilliant movie rookies and told a frightening script about selfishness and vanity that consequently lead to tragedy. If you are into real life stories and problems and have no problem with slow pace movie scripts, you should definitely watch "Loveless".

This oscar nominated movie (Foreign movie), is one of the deepest, darkest, picture I have seen this year. Starring foreign stars that proved how much unknown potential is out there and how much these actors even tho they aren't from the same continent should be judged equaly judged at the Oscars.The movie feels and is so real, it's actually terrying and hard to watch it. Loveless shows us what we human are capable of doing and how we human never really think and how we human express ourselves. It's some dark real story that really gets you and makes you feel about people diferently and shows you how dark and awful society can be. Loveless is a film that needs to be seen, it's needs to be shared! This is an unforgettable experience, and will really kill you inside after watching it! Prepare yourselves!
