It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

OK, I really haven't sat through many soft-core flicks because they are just terribly boring. But there are three good reasons to remember this film. Two of them are on sex kitten Charlie Curtis. And, the third is that this is the funniest, campiest script I have hear in a long time. The lines -- whether deliberately written as a parody or not -- are just devastatingly funny. For example: "if you're not happy all the time with your wife, I can take up the slack."or,Programmer: "You're asking me to work on a cyber-sex toy for chronic masturbators!"Boss: "They're our client base."It's just a totally outrageous, deadpan acted, mindless, cheesy looking story. It's sort of a soft-core TRON, with poor sap Max Dixon (yep, now there's a stud stage name for ya) wresting to save his virtue in cyberspace. Curtis plays the role of a virtual-reality sex doll to the hilt, and gives a whole new nuance to "hard drive" and "interface." In one arresting scene she morphs into various ladies who all manage to have the same bra cup size for the sake of, er, film continuity. If you want to do your own home-grown R-rated version of "Mystery Science Theater" this is the flick to watch.

This film is about a programmer's life falling apart because of a virtual lover program. In the opening scene we are already treated with a lengthy sex session in a fantasy room. I thought that this film was just a soft porn film, but the amazing thing is that there really is a plot. The plot is plausible and gripping, and it could really have been developed into a major film. Many a times, the graphics of this film looks like a college graduate production. It is probably because of the low budget, but this explains why the film went straight to video.

It is about a virtual girl who falls in love with a man. How can a software/computer fall in love with its programmer? well!!! the case is that they live a torrid romance in virtual world where she knows exactly all of his fantasies and will do anything to satisfy him... UNTIL he decides to quit dating the virtual girl. Somehow she goes out of the vitual world to the real world and things could turn freak and nasty. And yes!! it's got a plot. And yes!! it is about sex.Do I recommend it? I don't know it just depends on what you're looking for. I just like science fiction and this movie contains a lot of science fiction. How can anyone know the deepest sex fantasies you have? And further more, how can a computer program use them? It's weird, but in a sense wouldn't you like to know a woman who knew all this and was acting the way you ever dreamed? the virtual girl does it.

Caught this one on a trip to Florida in 2000 to see the Jets game. It was my first night on the trip, and I was beat so I headed back to the hotel from the bars around 1 AM. This was showing on whatever the heck station in Fort Lauderdale. The plot is decent - you dont often get that in soft core stuff. The main characters are bearable to look at and listen to. Even Charlie Curtis showed some ability to act. It could've been done better perhaps. The computer-ish graphics, while part of the plot, serve to cheese up things a bit. In summary, yeah I'd nail Virtuosity. Er, I mean decent, catch it if you can.
