Arrernte and Luritja woman Talia Liddle travels through the Central Australian outback along Larapinta, the oldest river in the world, meeting the people who call the river home and hearing stories of the river.

Talia hears how extreme weather and buffel grass have affected Larapinta, and the difficulties Traditional Owners can have accessing their homelands; Uncle Benedict Stevens introduces Talia to the Yeperenye Dreaming.
Talia sees the work being done to protect Country and create a healthier environment so that species can flourish; ecologist Tim Fernando introduces Talia to the animals only found along the river.
Talia explores the mystery behind Palm Valley, an oasis deep in the heart of the desert, and visits Ntaria, also known as Hermannsburg, the birthplace of artist Albert Namatjira.
