Good start, but then it gets ruined
Brilliant and touching
I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
Beyond Right and Wrong is an outstanding film. The stories used to illustrate the power of forgiveness are of people who have gone through tragedy beyond what most of us can imagine. The power of the film is in that, having seen and felt the stories of people who have forgiven for great evil done to them, we are better enabled to forgive the wrongs that have retained power over us by our inability to forgive. In addition to its compelling content, the documentary story telling and movie production quality are superb. I strongly recommend this film as I believe it will benefit any who watch it. I would caution parents of children under 12, as the tragedies described may be too painful for a child to process.
