I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

A rather strange film. I am surprised that ANURAG produced this. Its mostly crap but I completed it because PARINEETI nearly nailed her character. She was nice to look at and her expressions were quite amusing. SIDHARTH was alright. Its just the old Bollywood family movie in a new bottle. The subtlety and wannabe quirky humor is supposed to hide the lack of substance in the film but they do not. And the songs were quite good. After the Punjabis, now the Gujaratis get the Bollywood goofy treatment. Boy, if you watch this film you would think that every place in Mumbai is beautiful and the trains are all modern with clean aluminum rails and everyone lives in nice clean flats with swimming pools.(5/10)

This movie was one of the worst love stories I have ever watched in my whole life.I never expected this kind of crap with Parineeti Chopra. She has done pretty well performance in three movies Shuddh Desi Romance, Born to Hate... Destined to Love and Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl but let me tell you one thing that this was not her forte.I will never suggest anyone to watch this movie. If I have to punish someone, I will force him to watch this movie frame to frame. The whole idea and script was just far away from reality.I will take it in consideration if it holds the genre of "fantasy" but there is some logic in those kinds of flicks because the director has to convey some message to the viewers.Anyways, I think I am wasting my comments for this crap.Suppose if there is an apocalypse out there and all the DVDs and CDs are burned and one CD is left behind which has the title of "Hasee Toh Phasee (2014)" then don't hesitate just burn it yourself and run away.My Rating: 1/10

Hasee Toh Phasee...well I can't say I laughed that much throughout the film, so I guess I was pretty disappointed. The film is good in small parts, but on the whole it doesn't live up to what I thought it would be. The film is very slow and lacks a flow to the story line. To be honest, the best part of the film was the last 10 minutes - it was brilliant, but the rest of the film was pretty average.Sidharth Malhotra, bless him, tries his best but certainly didn't come across as lead actor material. While his chemistry with Parineeti was commendable, his general acting was below par. Parineeti is the core of this film and is a class act. She delivers a lovely performance and is getting better and better with every film. Adah Sharma is pleasant, but nothing major. Manoj Joshi and Sharat Saxena are both very good in their father roles. Vishal-Shekhar's music hits the right note it catchy Shake it like Shammy to start with, and the lovely romantic Ishq Bulaava and Zehnaseeb, although not sure what's going on with Punjabi Wedding song?! On the whole the film is an average one for me. The romance is awkward at times, the comedy was at best okay, and the story just didn't entertain. I'm giving it the marks I am purely on the last 10 minutes.

HASEE TOH PHASEE dares to be distinctive. This one's *not* merely about opposites falling in love. This one's a quirky love tale involving two individuals, shades different from the mundane stuff on matters of heart. On the whole, it is a bright-and-breezy, charming and refreshing rom-com that makes you smile, laugh and gets you moist-eyed at regular intervals. A qualitative film that warms the cockles of your heart. It is for the romantics who like their martinis stirred not shaken. This romantic comedy mirrors the quirks in human nature subtly and provides humour in everyday situations; in the family and amongst friends..If you're looking to rediscover the magic of goofy love around Valentines, give Hasee Toh Phasee a shot. Note: You may not like this film if you are a die-hard romantic who only subscribes to Bollywood formula.
