But now, he realizes that his soul was taken away in a kid's play in childhood and soon he will die. So the couple go on a journey to the heart of Brazil, during carnival celebration of the countryside cities. Whether João's beliefs are real or not, to Juliana this may be the only chance of reconciliation. But on the other hand, for him the journey will be the last chance to face the devil that lurks, waiting and hiding among the carnival masks.

Absolutely amazing
It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.
Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
