It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

The RECEP İVEDİK franchise is inevitably going to attract a variety of opinions. It is not "great" art but an attempt to create films that are essentially plot less, full of lewd jokes and sexist humor, guaranteed to appeal to mass audiences.Yet the basic tone of the franchise is no better and no worse than the CARRY ON series, that ran to 25+ films from the late 1950s right through to 1992. There is the same combination of familiar characters, contrived situation and scatological jokes, even though they are slightly ruder in the Turkish franchise, covering all bodily functions one could possibly imagine. For what it is worth, the "plot" has our hero (Şahan Gökbakar) joining a television quiz program that has him transported to a desert island. Inevitably he comes out first, triumphing over a galaxy of fellow-contestants much prettier and more attractive than he. The only weapon he possesses is that of talk; for the most part he grinds people down through sheer weight of words. The cinematic style is rudimentary: director Toğan Gökbakar constructs the action in a series of shot/ reverse shot sequences and close-ups designed to show the star off to best effect. Gökbakar takes full advantage of his opportunities; one has to admire his verbal virtuosity, particularly when insulting those who cross his path.RECEP İVEDİK 4 should be taken on its own terms for what it is; a star vehicle intended purely to make viewers laugh. On such modest terms, it excels in its task.

The film is bad in general. But it has a good idea. Yes , maybe "Recep" is rude but he is doing everything for children and their game area while humans we described kind are stealing children's game areas. In this manner, the film's viewpoint is successful and meaningful but if we talk about "comedy", the film couldn't pass .Recep Ivedik film series should be end with this film. Because there is no enough new comic phrase for Recep. Thanks for "Sahan Gökbakar" for this series. They were a new approach about comedy films in Turkey. We hope from his to come with new comedy approaches.

Recep Ivedik is an example of cinematic parasitism. It is a product created solely to profit from as many people as possible by providing as little content as possible.Outliving the sympathy generated by its humble beginnings, the series has become stale, endlessly recycling the same subject matter of a (once) lovable crude protagonist against the elite intelligentsia of the country. A mixture of slapstick and juvenile scat humor, it accomplishes nothing in the realm of comedy.A crude, cheaply filmed waste of time which is a shame considering the brave and creative strides Turkish filmmaking has taken in recent years.Technically embarrassing, this is one of those rare films which actually take an entire cinema industry backwards in progress. 2/10
